Gym flooring made from new rubber compound formulated for interiors — as opposed to recycled crumb rubber, which is shredded vehicle tires re-bonded with urethane. They look nearly identical and are not the same material.

Marmoleum · linseed-oil flooring

A flooring sheet made of oxidized linseed oil, pine rosin, wood flour, and mineral pigment pressed onto a jute backing — patented in 1863 and quietly excellent ever since. Not to be confused with vinyl, which borrowed its name and none of its chemistry.
