A two-part system — mineral-wool or recycled-glass absorptive panels skinned with a microporous plaster finish — that makes an entire ceiling absorb sound while looking like ordinary smooth plaster. NRC ratings run 0.7 to 1.0, panel-level absorption with no visible panels.
Why it matters
Great rooms, glass walls, and stone floors are an echo machine, and the standard fixes — fabric panels, slatted wood, clouds — all announce themselves. Acoustic plaster is how architecturally quiet rooms get built: the whole ceiling works while reading as minimal plaster. It is a certified-installer system with real cost, which is why it should enter the conversation at design stage rather than after the echo shows up.
