Float glass made with iron content reduced roughly tenfold, removing the green cast visible in standard glass — especially at thick sections and edges. The result is truer color transmission and measurably higher clarity for view glazing.

Why it matters

In view-driven builds — the ocean wall, the forest window — standard glass quietly green-shifts everything you look at, and the effect compounds with thickness and laminated layups. Low-iron glass is the fix, and it matters most exactly where high-performance homes spend big: oversized panes, glass railings, shower enclosures. It changes optics only; the thermal spec still comes entirely from coatings and the IGU build.
