Method

1Set plunge to 39–50°F (start at 55°F if new to cold exposure)
2Enter fully submerged to shoulders within the first 10 seconds
3Control breathing — slow nasal inhale, extended exhale
4Hold for 2–5 minutes (build up over 2 weeks)
5Exit, air dry for 2–3 minutes before warming up
6Same time every day — morning is optimal for cortisol and alertness
