Sportova
Home gyms designed to be shown off, not hidden behind a door.
What they're known for
A design studio turning fitness rooms into sculptural, finish-led spaces — equipment chosen for form as much as function.
Sportova is a luxury fitness design studio founded by Sam and Madeleine Kimball, working from a showroom in New Canaan, Connecticut and on projects around the world — from Fairfield County homes to a yacht in the South of France.
The premise is simple and, in high-end homes, oddly rare: the gym deserves the same design attention as the kitchen or the primary suite. Sportova handles the whole arc — spatial planning, lighting, flooring, millwork, and finishes — then curates sculptural equipment from lines like Pent, NOHrD, Stil-Fit, Ciclotte, and Watson to match the room rather than fight it.
It is the clearest example of the designer behind the gym — the studio you call when you want a training room that photographs like an interior, not a garage with rubber mats. They work remotely alongside your architect and GC, or run the space end to end, including photoreal 3D renders before anything ships.
