Panatta
Italian biomechanics, the bodybuilder's machine.
What they're known for
Made-in-Italy strength machines with serious biomechanics — founded by a bodybuilder in 1982.
Panatta was founded in 1982 in Apiro, Italy by Rudy Panatta, a literature professor and bodybuilder who left teaching to build the machines he wanted to train on. Four decades later it is among the most respected names in serious strength equipment — and, it claims, the longest-lived Italian company in fitness to still build every machine entirely in Italy.
The reputation rests on biomechanics: plate-loaded and selectorized machines with carefully engineered strength curves that hardcore lifters and bodybuilders prize. Family-owned and design-driven, Panatta is the connoisseur's commercial-grade choice — the Italian counterweight to the American and German equipment giants.
