Eight Sleep’s current Pod 6 fits over an existing mattress and combines active heating and cooling, separate left/right temperature zones, embedded sleep and health sensors, thermal or vibration alarms, and a compact bedside Hub. Autopilot uses sleep, health, environmental, and preference data to adjust temperature through different phases of the night rather than holding one fixed setting. The Pod is not a medical device, and company-reported sleep-outcome claims should remain separate from the underlying hardware facts: mattress-level thermal control, occupant sensing, and automated response.
