Cover-Pools
The company that invented the automatic pool cover.
What they're known for
Automatic safety pool covers — the original, patented in 1962 and still the category reference.
Cover-Pools traces to 1959, when founder Joe Lamb invented the automatic pool cover, patenting it in 1962. From Salt Lake City it has spent six decades refining the same idea: a cover that deploys at the turn of a key to deliver safety, heat retention, evaporation control, and lower chemical use — daily, without hauling a tarp.
The safety case is the serious one (a properly specified cover holds the weight of a child or pet), and the energy savings are the recurring payoff. Now part of the Fluidra group, Cover-Pools remains the originator and benchmark in automatic covers — the spec when a pool needs to be safely and efficiently closed every day.
