Almost Heaven Saunas
Traditional barrel saunas from one of the most established US makers.
What they're known for
Ball-and-socket cedar lumber, stainless hardware, and a Harvia heater in the box — the traditional barrel done properly.
Almost Heaven has been making saunas in the US longer than most of the category has existed, and the Pinnacle barrel shows the accumulated opinions. Ball-and-socket 1 3/8-inch cedar lumber that tightens as it weathers, stainless bands and hardware, tempered glass options, stones included, and a 6kW Harvia heater — the Finnish standard — in the box rather than sold as an afterthought.
This is the traditional path: real steam, water on rocks, 180°F, none of the infrared compromise. A six-by-six four-person barrel from $8,164 lands in the middle of the outdoor sauna market with more pedigree than the price implies. For a first proper sauna the whole household uses, it's the unexciting, correct answer.
